The DSP-4000 generates a low duty factor pulse train during cable measurements. Pulse amplitude is around 3V across the twisted pair conductors. Pulse width varies from 2nS to 240nS depending on measurement mode. Inter-unit communication pulses are at a higher level, around 5V across the twisted pairs.
In summary, you cannot damage Hubs / Switches/ NICs with the DSP-4x00 CableAnalyzer.
